Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for New Delhi late on Sunday after concluding his two-day visit to Dhaka vowing close relation with the neighbouring country.
Modi, who addressed intellectuals at the end of his tour here, maintained that India and Bangladesh were not just "pass pass" (close to each other) but also "saath saath" (together).
He said his two-day visit has ended, but "I feel that actually the yatra (in ties) has just begun".
While thanking the people of Bangladesh and its government, Indian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted: "Dhonnobad Bangladesh. History has been created. Now onwards to the future!"
