Modi gifts Gita, Mahatma's charkha to Xi

A copy of the Bhagavad Gita, an off-white khadi jacket, a book on Mahatma Gandhi and his picture of the historic Dandi March were Wednesday given as gifts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

A replica of Gandhi's charkha was also presented to Xi on the premises of the historic Sabarmati Ashram here.

The copy of the Gita was written in Chinese, while the title of the book on Gandhi was "Gandhi in Amdavad".
