Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the people of Iraq on the country's Republic Day.
"Republic Day greetings to the people of Iraq. We value our ties with Iraq and I am sure our ties will become stronger in the coming years," Modi said.
Republic Day marks Abd al-Karim Qasim overthrowing the Hashemite monarchy in 1958 to become the new leader of the nation.
