Modi meets several governors, ministers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a stream of visitors Friday that included governors of four states and several cabinet ministers.

"Today Honourable Governors of several states and Ministers called on Prime Minister @narendramodi at South Block," tweeted the prime minister's office.

Among those who called on Modi were Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra, Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, his Haryana and Manipur counterparts, Jagannath Pahadia and V.K. Duggal, respectively,

Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde, Steel Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati and Minister of State (independent charge) for Power Piyush Goyal were among those who called on Modi.

The meetings were courtesy visits and took place in the South Block office of the prime minister, PMO officials said.

Naidu, who is also chief minister-elect of the residuary Andhra Pradesh and Vohra also met Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
