Nepalese Prime Minister Sushil Koirala said the handshake between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was "significant".
Responding to queries by journalists at a media briefing after the closing ceremony of the 18th SAARC Summit, Koirala said the meeting between Modi and Sharif means a lot to the South Asian region.
Asked if he had taken personal initiative to make Modi and Sharif meet each other, Koirala said, "It is not important who initiated it, rather what happens matters", according to the Himalayan Times.
