The launch of the production of the Renault Dacia Lodgy car in India has been done under the supervision of Moroccan technicians sent from the company's plant in Tangier, according to Renault CEO Jacques Prost.

Interviewed by the French website L'Usine Nouvelle on the sidelines of the second show of the automotive supplier, which opened on April 22 at Tangier, Prost said that 30 Moroccan technicians from the company's factory in Tangier are currently in India to control the production launch of the Lodgy, Moroccan news agency MAP reported.

According to Prost, Renault's plant in India, which will produce the Lodgy, depends on Tangier to provide parts and industrial components of this car like sheet metal parts manufactured in Morocco by original equipment maker (OEM) Renault Melloussa, which ensures an integration rate of 40 percent.

Incidentally, the CEO explained that the shipment of parts from Tangier for export, called international logistic network (ILN) in industrial jargon, is growing.
