Indian race driver Aditya Patel aims to continue his good run in the Audi R8 LMS Cup as the series heads to the Korea International Circuit here this weekend.
Patel, who is supported by Audi India, JK Tyre and Jubilant Motorworks, put in some strong performances in the first round of the championship in Zhuhai, China where he finished Overall third.
After consistently being in the top three throughout all the sessions, Chennai-based Patel now heads to South Korea standing third in the championship, behind Alex Yoong and Rahel Frey.
His first time on this circuit, Patel faces a challenging task in learning this extremely technical circuit in the two practice sessions. However, he is confident of a strong performance and an impressive result.
The 26-year old Patel said: "The circuit at Yeongam is completely new to me. Unlike Zhuhai, I don't have as many practice sessions to learn the track. I have watched some videos and it does look like a circuit I will thoroughly enjoy driving on.
"I am looking forward to getting back into the Audi R8 after a two month break and the aim is to be on the top step of the podium."
