Spanish tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza for the third straight week headed the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles rankings, released on Monday.
The Spanish star topped the rankings despite having been eliminated from the Tokyo Open semi-finals after her defeat against Danish Caroline Wozniacki, who claimed the title on Sunday, reports Efe.
This week's standings witnessed no changes, as Romanian Simona Halep came in second, followed by Ukrainian Elina Svitolina.
Czech Karolina Pliskova held the fourth position, ahead of fifth-placed American Venus Williams.
The current WTA rankings and point scores are as follows:
