President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday congratulated his Togolese counterpart Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe on his re-election.
"On behalf of the government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I wish to convey our hearty congratulations on your re-election as the president of the Republic of Togo," Mukherjee said in a message.
"India and Togo share a long history of friendship and cooperation. I look forward to working with you closely in further strengthening our bilateral engagement," he added.
