Mumbai City FC assistant coach Oscar Bruzon said his side, which went down to Atletico de Kolkata 4-1 in the Indian Super League (ISL) match here on Sunday, lost the game in the first half itself after the two goals by the visitors.

"We lost the match in the first half itself. We had problems in the right and the midfield. They won the game in the midfield. We wanted to strengthen the side after the first half and played well in the second half and produced a goal," Bruzon said at the post match press conference.

"The tactical draw of the team was not working well. We tried to sort things out in the break but that did not work. Atletico understood the game better today. They played well in counter attack," he said.

Canadian striker Iain Hume scored a brilliant hat-trick in the 34th, 45+1, 81st minute alongside Augustin Fernandes's 76th minute goal to steer the away side to their third victory of the season at the D.Y. Patil Stadium here. Selim Benachour was the only scorer for the home side.

Mumbai, after losing their second match at home, are placed in the sixth spot with 10 points from seven games, having won three, drawn one and lost three.

Bruzon said their next game against Delhi Dynamos FC in Delhi on November 6 will be a crucial one, adding that despite the loss the team will be in a positive frame of mind.

"We will be positive in the next game as always. We will play an away game after five home matches. We will look to come back strongly in the match against Delhi," he said.
