Mumbai has the highest number of internet users with 16.4 million in India, a study said here Tuesday.
In 2013, Mumbai had 12 million internet users.
Mumbai is followed by Delhi with 12.15 million users and Kolkata with 6.27 million users. Kolkata has jumped two places from last year to attain the third position.
Bengaluru with 5.99 million internet users and Chennai with 5.58 million internet users are fourth and fifth respectively, the joint study by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and IMRB said.
With 50 percent year-on-year growth, Delhi registered the highest growth of internet users among all the top cities in India.
India has around 243 million internet users.
