Myanmar announces 125 more parliament poll results

Myanmar's Union Election Commission (UEC) announced 125 more elected parliament representatives to the House of Representatives and regional or state parliament on the second day of vote count on Tuesday.

Of the 34 representatives elected to the House of Representatives, the opposition National League for Democracy (NLD) has bagged 29, while the ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) takes two. The Shan Nationalities Democracy Federation (SNDF) has won two and the Zomi Congress for Democracy (ZCD) one, Xinhua reported.

Of the 58 parliament representatives elected in the regional or state parliament, NLD has taken 46, and USDP seven. SNDF has claimed four and ZCD one.

Of the 33 parliament representatives elected to the House of Naionalities, NLD dominates with 29, the USDP two and the remaining two are shared by an independent party and an ethnic party.

The NLD has secured a total of 249 seats at three levels of the parliament, including 49 in the House of Representatives, 29 in the House of Nationalities, and 142 in the regional or state parliament.

The election commission has announced a total of 285 parliament representatives elected since Monday. Of them, 88 go to the House of Representatives, 33 to the House of Nationalities, and 164 to the regional or state parliament.
