Veteran Congress leader N.D. Tiwari was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here following health complications and was discharged Thursday evening, hospital officials said.
The 89-year-old Tiwari was admitted to the hospital's medicine department Wednesday.
"The Congress leader was admitted for a routine check-up. There is nothing seriously wrong with his health. He was discharged Thursday evening," a doctor from the medicine department told IANS.
He said Tiwari is a diabetic patient and had some other health issues due to his advanced age.
Apart from diabetes, the politician is also suffering from Parkinson's disease, hypothryrodism and ischemic heart disease due to which he has to visit the hospital for multiple tests.
