Spanish tennis players Rafael Nadal and Jaume Munar on Wednesday completed their pre-Wimbledon training on the grass courts of the WTA Mallorca Open women's tournament.

Nadal, World No.2, and Manur, World No.87, are aiming to fully adapt to the natural grass surface before heading to Wimbledon, the second Grand Slam event of the season, reports Efe.

"I'll play in Wimbledon," Manur assured Efe regarding his debut appearance at the English tournament, after finishing up a two-hour training session with Nadal.

"I got a sense that Rafa's form is very good, to be honest, very good," added the 21-year-old, who rocketed up 17 places in the ATP ranking after winning the Czech Open on June 9 and the Citta di Caltanissetta tournament on June 17.

Wednesday was Nadal's third consecutive day of training at the Santa Ponsa tennis club, overseen by his coach Carlos Moya and doctor Angel Cotorro.

Nadal, a 17-time Grand Slam champion, is expected to travel to London to continue his preparations for Wimbledon, which starts July 2.

Earlier this month, the two-time Wimbledon champion pulled out of the Queen's Club Championships, a popular Wimbledon tune-up tennis tournament, stating that he needed a rest after winning a number of clay court tournaments this spring.

The Mallorca Open, which began Monday, is the only WTA Tour grass court tournament held in Spain.
