Actor Nani has bought the Telugu remake rights of upcoming Tamil comedy-drama "Pannaiyarum Padminiyum".
"Nani has bought the Telugu remake rights of 'Pannaiyarum Padminiyum'. Since he liked the film, he is all set to play the lead in the film's remake version," said a statement.
Nani, who rose to fame with films such as "Ashta Chamma" and "Eega", is awaiting the release of films "Paisa" and "Janda Pai Kapiraju". He is also currently busy shooting for Tamil remake of "Band Bajaa Baaraat".
"Pannaiyarum Padminiyum", which is slated to release soon, is directed by debutant Arun Kumar. It features Vijay Sethupathi, Jayaprakash and Sneha in important roles.
The film is about the story of a landlord and his vintage Padmini car.
