Nanjappa in 10m air pistol finals, Om Prakash misses out

Indian shooter Prakash Nanjappa advanced to the men's 10-metre air pistol finals of the 2014 Commonwealth Games here Saturday, topping the standings in qualification while compatriot Om Prakash narrowly missed out, finishing ninth at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre.

With 580 points, Nanjappa was placed first in the qualification round, two points ahead of Englishman Stewart Nangle.

Om Prakash bowed out missing the cut by just one point, garnering 568 points.

The finals will take place later in the day.
