Product-related complaints accounted for over 21 percent of the total complaints received by the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) during June, the ministry of consumers affairs said Friday.
The helpline received 12,018 calls during June apart from 1,863 complaints received through the online complaint system.
The maximum calls were received from Delhi (2,843), followed by Uttar Pradesh (1,975) and Maharashtra (1,213).
"The product related complaints were maximum at 21.28 percent, followed by telecom and e-commerce," the ministry said.
The helpline has a toll free number 1800-11-4000 as part of its 'Jago Grahak Jago' campaign.
