Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the suicide attack in Afghanistan's Jalalabad city that killed at least 34 people and injured over 100 on Saturday.

Sharif said that terrorism was the common enemy of both the countries, according to a Xinhua report.

"Such acts of violence would not weaken our resolve to take action against them (terrorists) till the last of terrorists and their supporters are eliminated," the Pakistani prime minister's office stated.

Sharif said that terrorism would soon be wiped out of the region, ushering in an era of peace, stability and prosperity to the immense benefit of the people living there.

He said that Pakistan had targeted terrorist hideouts and dismantled terrorist networks with an effective strategy.

"Pakistan would be happy to provide any assistance to Afghanistan to successfully fight terrorism," he added.
