An increase in flights from Kolkata to Kathmandu will boost economic ties between India and Nepal, a top official from Nepal's industry association said here Friday.
"There are only four flights a week between Kathmandu and Kolkata. It is not enough to develop trade and economic activities. There must be daily flights," Nepal Chamber of Commerce president Kazi Srestha said on the sidelines of 27th Industrial India Trade Fair organised by Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He said an increase in flights will boost the tourism, health, education and petty trade sector.
"It will once again revive our historical friendship and businessmen from Nepal are ready to work on it," he said.
