A team of international scientists unearthed a fossil of a new species of dinosaur along with its eggs, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) said Friday.
The pterosaurs fossils were discovered in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and dates to the Early Cretaceous period, Xinhua quoted a researcher as saying.
The team named the new species Hamipterus tianshanensis.
"Most of the fossils are relatively intact," the researcher said.
These fossils will shed new light on the reproduction, development, and behaviour of pterosaurs, according to the researcher.
