New photographs from the sets of the upcoming reboot of Tom Cruise starrer "The Mummy" have surfaced online.

In the images, Cruise can be seen trapped in a mock-up of an overturned number 25 bus, reports digitalspy.com.

Cruise has previously been seen shooting for the movie with Annabelle Wallis.

The actor's role is expected to follow in the footsteps of the archaeologist Rick O'Connell, famously played by Brendan Fraser in the 1999 film "The Mummy".

Sofia Boutella will play the actual Mummy. Russell Crowe is reportedly lined up to appear as Dr. Jekyll in a cameo, before getting his own solo film.

Not much is known about the film's plot.

"Prometheus" and "Doctor Strange" writer Jon Spaihts is working on the script, with J.J. Abrams's "Fringe" co-creator Alex Kurtzman directing.

"The Mummy" is scheduled for release on June 9, 2017.
