Claiming to be the "backbone" of Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement in Delhi that caught the imagination of the entire country, a new political party that promises to end "hate politics" was launched here Wednesday ahead of the Delhi assembly polls.
The Naya Daur party is the only option for Delhi to free itself from hate politics as it is a party of professionals with coherent, well thought out policies on all sectors, the new party said in a statement.
Sanjeev Chhiber, national president of the party, said: "Naya Daur party is a party of professionals, we were the backbone of the Anna movement. We have the best thought out agenda of all parties. We will support all parties who work for the national interest."
Chhiber said the party's agenda was based on health, education, security, women's safety, housing, electricity and water.
"We invite good people to stand with us in the upcoming elections," said the statement.
