Riding on Amy Satterthwaite's brilliant century, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the fifth One-Day International (ODI) of the International Cricket Council (ICC) women's championship at the Saxton Oval here on Saturday.
Chasing a target of 220, New Zealand started off on a good note as opener Satterthwaite slammed 123 runs before she was sent back to the pavilion by Sadia Yousuf in 33rd over. Her 99-ball knock was laced with 18 boundaries.
Katie Perkins was the second best scorer for the hosts with 23 runs from 38 balls.
For Pakistan, Sadia Yousuf took three wickets while Nida Dar scalped two wickets.
Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out for 220 in their allotted 50 overs.
Opener Ayesha Zafar and Javeria Khan were the top scorers for Pakistan with 50 runs each. Nahida Khan contributed with 31 runs in 59 balls.

For New Zealand, Thamsyn Newton was the wrecker-in-chief, scalping five wickets while Amelia Kerr took four wickets.
