Actress Nidhi Uttam has been roped in to play actor Rahul Devs wife in the upcoming TV show "Dil Boley Oberoi".
Nidhi, best known for her role of Nandini in "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai", will be seen as Jaanvi, wife of Kaali Pratap Thakur (Rahul) on "Dil Boley Oberoi".
"I've been playing Nandini since the last eight years now and this character is a breath of fresh air for me in terms of my look and the characteristics as well. Since I play the wife of an extremely powerful and wealthy man, my look is extremely royal and grand," Nidhi said in a statement.
"It has a slight Bengali influence and I feel it highly resembles that of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's look from 'Devdas'," she added.
On working with Rahul, Nidhi said: "He is an extremely senior actor in Bollywood and I hold a lot of respect for the experience he has in the industry. Having said that, Rahul is a down to earth personality and made me feel really comfortable."
"Dil Boley Oberoi" will be aired on Star Plus starting from February 13.

Vikkas Manaktala celebrates birthday with family in Delhi
Vikkas Manaktala, who is currently seen as Veer in "Ghulaam", took three days off from shoot to celebrate his 33rd birthday on Friday with his family in Delhi after five years.
Vikkas shifted base to Mumbai from Delhi 10 years ago. Hence, he was feeling homesick and flew to Delhi to surprise his parents along with his wife Gujan Manaktala.
"For my birthday, I wanted it to be with a handful of my special people who are the source of pure and unadulterated joy and happiness in my life and that is my family," Vikkas said in a statement.
"I planned to surprise them so I flew to Delhi with my wife and the sheer surprise and joy on their face was worth all the planning and extra hours of shoot on 'Ghulaam' sets to accommodate these three days of off for me," he added.

Farah Khan compares 'Indian Idol 9' contestant to Arijit Singh
Choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan, who is seen as a judge on popular singing reality show "Indian Idol 9" alongside Sonu Nigam and Anu Malik, got impressed by the performance of one of the contestants - LV Revanth, and compared him to Bollywood singer Arijit Singh.
"I am speechless after receiving such praise from Farah Khan. Arijit Singh is one of the most talented singers of this country, his songs are iconic and to be compared to a singer like him is a compliment that I am very happy to receive," Revanth said in a statement.
