Nigeria Thursday recorded the fourth Ebola fatality following the death of a nurse, a media report said.
The nurse died early Thursday at the Yaba Mainland General Hospital in the city of Lagos, according to the online Premium Times newspaper.
Liberian citizen Patrick Sawyer, who died July 25, brought the virus to the country. Another nurse who attended on Sawyer also died Aug 5.
A 36-year-old staffer of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), a regional group of sixteen countries, died of the Ebola virus Tuesday.
The Nigerian government had Monday confirmed 10 new cases of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) with 177 persons under surveillance.
According to WHO, the Ebola virus has killed more than 1,000 people since its outbreak earlier this year. The disease affected mainly West African countries.
