A 33-year-old Nigerian man was arrested here and 37 gm of cocaine valued at Rs.30 lakh was seized from him, police said Monday.
Ifeanyi Alexander Obi, who was living in a rented house in west Delhi's Palam village, was arrested Saturday from east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area, police said.
He had gone to east Delhi to deliver a consignment of cocaine, police said.
Obi had come to Delhi in April on a business visa and started drug trafficking in connivance with compatriot Nigerian Chekwube to earn easy money, police said.
"He wanted to start a business of exporting ready-made garments from India to Nigeria. But he was short of money so he joined Chekwube in illegal activities," said a police officer.
