IT solutions firm NIIT Technologies on Tuesday announced winning 23 million pounds (Rs.221 crore) contract from Britain's communications regulator Ofcom to manage its infrastructure and application systems.
"We are delighted to have been chosen by Ofcom as its strategic outsourcing partner. We are confident that we will be able to deliver value to Ofcom through oura proven capabilities in the application and infrastructure management services domain," said NIIT Technologies' Europe head Satya Samal, in a statement.
With a focus on enhancing Ofcom users' experience, the contract will stretch to six years and the partnership also involves NIIT Technologies implementing a dedicated service delivery model with new service management processes and tools, the statement said.
A service desk, data centre services, application management and project management will encompass the key services, the statement added.
"We set out to select a partner who will align well with our organisational culture, manage transition smoothly, provide a robust technical solution and focus on innovation," said Ofcom ICT director David Doherty in the statement.
