At least nine suspected Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants were arrested Friday during a raid carried out by security forces in Islamabad.
On receiving a tip-off about the presence of 14 terrorists in Sector G-10 of the national capital, security forces carried out a raid in a mosque and arrested nine terrorists, Dawn online reported.
The terrorists had planned to target a senior military officer, security officials said.
The terrorists are said to hail from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
