State-run NMDC Ltd. on Tuesday said its iron ore production grew by 21 per cent to 30.33 million tonnes (mt) during April to February this year as compared to 25.04 mt produced during the same period last year.
According to provisional data, the miner sold 32.33 mt of iron ore up to end of February this year, up by 25 per cent from 25.86 mt during corresponding period last year.
It also reported its Chhattisgarh's mine produced 19.41 mt while its Donimalai mine in Karnataka generated 10.92 mt till February this fiscal. Both the mines received 5-star rating from Indian Bureau of Mines.
During the current fiscal till January, the miner produced 27.10 mt of iron ore while it sold 29.47 mt.
Its scrip on Tuesday closed at Rs 139.10, down by 0.75 points or 0.54 per cent from its previous closing on the BSE.
