The BSF on Wednesday said it has not come across any specific case of terror links of Rohingyas whom intelligence agencies claim have a connection with terror groups like the Islamic State and the Lashkar-e-Taiba.

At the same time, it said it cannot rule out such a possibility.

"We don't have any specific information about Rohingyas' links with terrorists. Sister agencies like IB and RAW have shared information about Rohingyas that they have links with terrorists and Islamic State. But I am not ruling out their inputs," BSF Director General K K Sharma told the media here.

"Rohingya is a very complicated issue. Our mandate is very clear that we don't allow any illegal immigration into India whether he is a Rohingya or Bangladeshi. Our policy is to push them back, not arrest. In the last few months, we caught 87 Rohingyas and pushed them back to Bangladesh till October 31," the BSF DG said.

"We don't arrest them because it will become a liability and then there has to be a process of identifying them."
