The nodal officer for investigating cases registered in Haryana during the Jat quota stir in February has appealed to the public to send video recordings and other evidence either through Whatsapp or other means.
Nodal officer B.K. Sinha said the evidence pertaining to violence between February 14 and 23 during the Jat agitation for quota in jobs should be sent through Whatsapp on mobile number 07087573333 or faxed to 0172-2584590 or emailed on 'nodalioharyanapolice@gmail.com at the earliest.
A government spokesman said on Friday that Sinha, the Additional Director General of Police in the State Vigilance Bureau (Headquarters), was appointed the nodal officer for investigating cases of violence and arson registered in Haryana during the Jat agitation.
Sinha has been directed to collect video recordings and other evidence from both private and public sources that can pinpoint the damage to public and private properties during that period.
This evidence will help in establishing the nexus between the actual perpetrators and organisers of the violence.
