The Korean People's Army (KPA) conducted a rocket firing drill that was guided by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, the media reported Thursday.
The drill, which was carried out in North Korea's western front, demonstrated combat capability of the rockets, Xinhua reported.
Kim said that the drill was carried out successfully.
Kim also expected the KPA to step up combat readiess and be ready to fire rockets in military drills that simulate real battles.
It was the second firing drill of the KPA that Kim had guided in the past two weeks,
North Korea has launched more than 90 short and medium range missiles and shells since Feb 21.
