Director Selvabharathy, known for films such as "Ninaithen Vanthai" and "Priyamanavale" has refuted rumours that he's directing the remake of Tamil classic "Enga Veetu Pillai" with actor Vijay.
"I was interested in remaking the film many years ago. But I have no such plans of working on it now. Whatever you've been hearing are just rumours which I don't know from where they originate. I'm currently working on a film called 'Parry's Corner'," Selvabharathy told IANS.
In "Parry's Corner", which is about the life of rickshaw pullers, singer Gaana Bala makes his acting debut in a lead role.
"I thought Bala was apt to play the lead in this story. I haven't zeroed in on the rest of the cast. We plan to start shooting soon," he said.
"It's the story about a group of rickshaw pullers who live in a world unaware of the technological revolution. The film throws the spotlight on the day-to-day activities of these rickshaw pullers," he added.
