One can now use online social networking service Twitter to buy products as well.
Twitter is teaming up with Shopify -- which boasts of about 100,000 merchants using its software -- and other e-commerce software companies to expand its range, Time reported.
The new 'Buy' button allows users to discover products and make purchases with just a few clicks.
"Users will get access to offers and merchandise they can't get anywhere else and can act on them right in the Twitter apps for Android and iOS," the service said in a blog post.
"Sellers will gain a new way to turn the direct relationship they build with their followers into sales," it added.
After clicking the 'Buy' button, the users will be presented with product details and a form to enter their shipping and payment information. Once the information is confirmed, the product would be sent to the merchant for delivery.

Twitter will take the necessary measures to safely encrypt and store the information, and they will not share credit card information with the merchant without a user's permission.
After the first purchase, the users do not need to re-enter their information for consecutive purchases -- unless someone chooses to delete the data from their account, which a user can do at any time.
