Odisha Tourism has decided to participate in the Global Travel Marts to be held in London, Singapore and Berlin this year to showcase the state's tourism potential, Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda said on Wednesday.
He said the department would also organise road shows in all the major cities of the country to woo tourists to the state.
Addressing a road show in Mumbai, Panda said that the number of foreign tourists to the state has grown substantially as a result of promotional initiatives.
Odisha Tourism will take all possible measures to attract more tourists as well as develop tourism infrastructure, he added.
The road show organised in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (Ficci) attracted a large number of visitors who later took part in a questionnaire.
Tourism Director Nitin B. Jawale informed about Odisha's tourism potential along with the government's interventions for infrastructural development in the tourism sector.
