Choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan's 2007 film "Om Shanti Om", which regaled Bollywood audiences with its song and dance sequences, is now being made into a musical in Japan.
Farah's directorial, which revoleves around reincarnation and has an ensemble cast, clocked nine years since its release in the Hindi film industry on Wednesday.
"Maybe a good day to announce on nine years of 'Om Shanti Om' that it's being made into a huge musical in Japan," Farah tweeted on Wednesday.
The filmmaker also thanked the entire cast and crew of the film, including superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
"Thank you all for wishing us nine years of 'Om Shanti Om' today! It's beautiful to know this film is celebrated every day kahin na kahin (somewhere). SRK thank you," she added.
The 51-year-old also thanked music composers Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani and veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar for the film's music "that is still playing today".

The movie launched Deepika Padukone, who is one of the top actresses in the industry.
