A five-member Indian family, killed in a road accident Tuesday in Oman, will be laid to rest in the gulf state, social workers here said.
The family hailed from Mumbai.
The accident occurred Tuesday evening near Al Mazyouna in Salalah in the Omani province of Dhofar, the Times Of Oman reported Thursday.
"It was a head-on collision between two vehicles. One of the vehicles was totally destroyed in the fire that followed," a source was quoted as saying.
K.S. Mohammed Ali, a social worker and employee of Sultan Qaboos Hospital Salalah, said the hospital authorities have informed the victims' relatives.
As two bodies are not in a condition to be repatriated, relatives have suggested they be buried here, hospital sources said.
The victims were identified as Abdul Wahab, a planner at Port Service in Salalah, his wife Saika Abdul Wahab and his three sons, Mozawala Abdul Razack, Mozawala Osama Abdul Wahab and Mozawala Mohammed Bilal Abdul Wahab.
