One person were killed in a bomb blast at a Shia village in Bahrain Tuesday, less than 24 hours after a policeman was killed during a home-made bomb attack Monday night, officials said.
Tuesday's bombing in Karzakan killed a Bahraini and slightly injured an Asian national, the Gulf nation's interior ministry said, describing it as a "terrorist" attack.
Witnesses said the bomb was planted under a tree near the corner of a road, Xinhua reported.
Earlier Monday night, an on-duty policeman was killed in Damistan village after terrorists detonated a home-made bomb, according to the interior ministry.
The bomb attacks came just after Bahrain hosted a major security summit on the conflicts in Iraq and Syria and ongoing efforts to battle the Islamic State Sunni radical group.
More than 12 policemen have been killed and over 2,300 injured in Bahrain since the outbreak of anti-government protests in 2011.
Earlier this year, Bahrain's leadership announced a royal fund to support the families of policemen killed on duty.
