One person was missing and nine others were injured in an eruption of Mount Gamalama volcano in Indonesia, an official said here Friday.
Four of the nine were seriously injured, Sutopo Purno Nugroho, spokesman of the national disaster management agency, said.
"Those suffering from serious injuries were directly hit by the impact of eruption," he told Xinhua by phone.
The remaining sustained minor injuries when they were running away, said Sutopo.
All the victims are climbers on the mountain, he said.
Mount Gamalama erupted Thursday night.
