A farmer injured in a clash with the police and firing died on Friday, taking the deaths so far during the ongoing peasant protests in Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh to six, the police said.
Ghanshyam Dhakar, 30, was injured on Thursday during violence in Dalaula police station area of Mandsaur. He died from his injuries in an Indore hospital.
Madhya Pradesh farmers are protesting since June 1 in support of their demands for a loan waiver and remunerative prices for their farm produce.
At least five farmers were shot dead in police firing in Mandsaur on Tuesday. Farmers' leaders had claimed at least eight deaths.
