A woman was stabbed to death while five others were injured in a possible terrorist attack in central London in the last hour of Wednesday, various local media reported early Thursday morning.
According to the Press Association (PA), a man was arrested minutes after the attack which took place at Russell Square after being shot with a stun gun by police, EFE news reported.
BBC reported that police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at 22.30 GMT on Wednesday due to a man in possession of a knife after several people had sustained injuries.
Six wounded people were found at the square and a woman was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Terrorism is being investigated as a possible motive, according to Metropolitan Police Service quoted by the BBC.
