The basket of crude oil used as a benchmark indicator by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries rose to $50.82, the OPEC Secretariat said on Wednesday.
OPEC said the price of its basket went up by 1.2 per cent on Tuesday compared to the closing price at the previous session, Efe news reported.
The October delivery of Brent crude opened at $53.19 per barrel at the start of Wednesday's trading on the futures market, a 0.35 per cent decrease since the previous session's close.
