The BJP on Friday criticised the Congress for not acting against black money hoarders during the last three years of the UPA-II tenure, whereas the Modi government formed an SIT on the matter.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said that even the CPI-M was supporting the Congress, resisting action against stemming black money.

The minister was speaking to the media after the BJP parliamentary meet ahead of the parliament session on Friday.

"Earlier, the party in power used to be involved in scams and the opposition used to unite in fighting against it.

"Now, when the party at the Centre is taking action to root out corruption and black money, their attempts are being scuttled by the opposition," he added.

"We need to think on where we stand now," he said.
