Defender Nicolas Otamendi scored the winner for Manchester City to hand them a 2-1 victory against Manchester United in the English Premier League (EPL) fixture at the Old Trafford here on Sunday.
Manchester City went 11 points clear after the victory, leading the EPL table after 16 matches, while Manchester United remained at the second spot with 35.
Otamendi (54 minutes) scored the decider in the second half after star winger David Silva provided the visitors lead in the 43rd minute.
For Manchester United, forward Marcus Rashford (45+2') scored the lone goal nearing the end of first-half.
The Pep Guardiola-managed City (65 per cent) dominated most of the possession getting seven shots on target in comparison to Manchester United's five.
