West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Wednesday claimed her government's mission to explore tourism potential of world's largest mangrove forest, Sundarbans, already seemed "highly successful" following the plethora of projects announced by entrepreneurs who accompanied her on a two day visit to the region.

"Our Sunderbans visit with a delegation of national and state level entrepreneurs to explore its huge tourism potential ended on a very happy note today (Wednesday)," Banerjee said on her official Facebook page.

She said entrepreneurs and investors who toured the region have already declared various projects like eco-resorts, cottages, infrastructure, water taxi services and a first-ever zoo in the mangrove forest.

"From several such responses and investment proposals, our mission already looks highly successful."

However, she conceded there was still a long way to go.

"We have, however, a long way to go considering the vast prospects and I am very confident that our team will surely deliver," she added.

Banerjee had taken a group of 25 select industrialists on the two-day infrastructure and tourism development tour to the Sundarbans.
