Family entertainer "Paddington", based on the bestselling and internationally loved series of children's stories by British author Michael Bond, will hit 150 screens across India Jan 16, 2015.
Directed by Paul King and produced by David Heyman, the movie will be released in the country by PictureWorks, a statement said.
The film has already opened to warm reviews in Britaon and Australia, and it will head to North America on the same day as its India release. It will also be distributed in all territories worldwide.
"Paddington" follows the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British. The bear travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realise that city life is not all he had imagined -- until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck (Please look after this bear. Thank you.), and offer him a temporary haven.
It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.
