At least 11 militants were killed in joint aerial and ground operations in different parts of Pakistan's resistive Khyber-Agency, the army's media wing said on Thursday.
A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations said eight militant hideouts were also destroyed during the operations, which were conducted in Babar Kachkol and Toor Sapar and adjoining areas of the agency.
Khyber and North Waziristan are among Pakistan's seven semi-autonomous tribal districts near the Afghan border, rife with homegrown insurgents and foreign militants.
