Pakistan launched an indigenously developed armed drone on Friday, test-firing laser-guided missiles, the military said.
The "Burraq and Barq" drone, which has impressive pinpoint accuracy, has all-weather and multiplied capability against terrorists, Xinhua news agency reported citing an army statement.
Army chief Gene. Raheel Sharif, who attended the launching ceremony, witnessed the test fire on static and moving targets.
Calling the test a great national achievement and a momentous occasion, he said: "It is a force multiplier in our anti-terror campaign."
Gen. Sharif congratulated the nation, scientists and technicians involved in development of the drone.
