A man shot at his wife at a shelter home in Pakistan's Punjab province, media reported Thursday.
According to officials, Shadman, 26, was sent by a magistrate to the shelter home in Narowal about a month back after she had fought with her parents and in-laws, Dawn online reported.
Shadman had filed for divorce from her husband, Zaheer Ahmad, who was living abroad.
Zaheer Wednesday, along with his two children and brother-in-law, came to the shelter home to see Shadman with the permission of the magistrate.
After some time, Zaheer sent his children home with his brother-in-law and then shot Shadman.
She was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.
