Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing on Tuesday at Border Security Force (BSF) positions on the international border in Kathua district of Jammu region.
"After violating the bilateral ceasefire agreement four times on the LoC (line of control) and the international border yesterday (Monday), Pakistan Rangers again resorted to unprovoked firing at BSF border outposts in Hiranagar sector today (Tuesday)," a senior police officer told IANS in Jammu.
"Pakistan firing started after 12 a.m. today (Tuesday) and lasted for nearly 15 minutes. BSF effectively retaliated to Pakistan firing."
On Monday, one BSF trooper was critically injured in the same sector at the international border in an unprovoked Pakistan firing.
Pakistan army also violated ceasefire on the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district on Monday.
